Katy Perry has leapt to Ellen DeGenres' defense amid numerous claims of a toxic work environment at the comedian's self-titled talk show. On Tuesday, the pregnant Perry tweeted, “I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own, but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen and on The Ellen DeGenres Show." She added, “I think we all have witnessed the light and continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades." She ended her statement by tweeting at DeGeneres, "Sending you love and a hug, friend." Perry last appeared on Ellen almost a year ago, where, ironically, she dished about her frenemy feud with Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, Us Weekly reports that this past Sunday, a polo player named Nacho Figueras tried to muster a celeb-filled defense for DeGenres when he wrote on social media, "We love Ellen, right?" while tagging nine celebs, including Jennifer Aniston, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Justin Timberlake, Pink, Jennifer Lopez, and Perry.
