The NFL has inked a deal with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation entertainment company to enhance the league’s live game experiences and to amplify social justice efforts. The Wall Street Journal reports that, among other things, Roc Nation will advise on the selection of artists for major NFL performances like the Super Bowl. "With its global reach, the National Football League has the platform and opportunity to inspire change across the country," Jay says of the partnership. "Roc Nation has shown that entertainment and enacting change are not mutually exclusive ideas--instead, we unify them. This partnership is an opportunity to strengthen the fabric of communities across America." NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell adds, “The NFL and Roc Nation share a vision of inspiring meaningful social change across our country.” The partnership will also aim to nurture and strengthen community through football and music, including through the NFL's Inspire Change initiative.
