Nickelodeon announced Tuesday it's bringing back Nick News for a very special event. Alicia Keys will host an hourlong broadcast on June 29 titled Kids, Race and Unity: A Nick News Special. Variety reports that Keys will lead a series of conversations with such guests as the co-founders of Black Lives Matters and 12-year-old singer Keedron Bryant, who went viral with an original song he shared on social media following the death of George Floyd. "I've had a vision of a forum that can engage kids during this time and help to focus our attention on how they might be feeling, and this Nick News special is it!" Keys said in a statement. "Talking about race can be sensitive and uncomfortable; and sometimes we try to protect our children from racism they are already experiencing. But honestly, there is no way around this topic if we want to move forward in any kind of meaningful way." The special airs next Monday on Nickelodeon starting at 7 p.m. ET.
