With over three decades of experience in radio broadcast, Catherine has one of the most recognizable voices in Santa Barbara. Catherine has been waking up listeners on K-LITE for more than 30 years, keeping them informed, entertained and connected to their community. Tune in weekdays for news, traffic, weather, great prizes, interviews, amazing feature stories and the best mix of music to start your day!

Catherine is also known as a “champion for non-profits”, collectively volunteering thousands hours as an emcee/moderator and auctioneer at countless events, helping to bring significant exposure and millions of dollars to local agencies. Catherine has been the recipient of Congressional recognition for “Making a Difference in the Community Through Broadcast” and in 2020 was named “Woman of the Year” by the Santa Barbara Foundation.

Kelly Bridges, Featured Lifestyle Reporter

Kelly Bridges has been a national radio and TV voice talent for over 30 years. After working in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle radio, she’s happy to call Santa Barbara County home since 2002. She’s an award winning creative director & copywriter and while her radio experience spans across several different formats and skills, she calls working with K-LITE's morning show and Catherine is among the most enjoyable. Every week Kelly brings insights and laughs on a range of life-style topics!

He is the international best selling author of 30 books translated into 18 languages and embraced around the world. His famed Jacob the Baker book series is now a feature film streaming on all the major platforms. When introduced at the Library of Congress, Noah was described as “a national treasure.”

KLITE Youth Reporter, Micah Barnhart

Micah Barnhart is a 17-year-old senior at Dos Pueblos High School. He’s a stand-out football player, and also part of DPNews, a nationally award-winning daily broadcast program. Micah runs the DP News Instagram show The Daily Flash. Throughout high school, Micah has been a three-sport athlete playing football, basketball, and running track. This year, he’s focusing primarily on football as he prepares to continue playing next year at Chapman University, where he also plans to be a film studies major. Micah is active in DP’s school leadership program, working to help build school spirit and community. We’re so excited to have Micah bringing a youth perspective and fresh energy as our KLITE Youth Reporter.

His reports run Monday mornings at 7:45 and 9:15

Dawn has been a life-long athlete and coached for over two decades. She first stepped onto the deck of the pool in her teens, eventually qualifying for the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Trials. Remaining active through her life, Dawn continues to compete in swimming and running events, recently competing in The Canadian Ironman! As a coach, Dawn founded Moms In Motion and Momentum4 Life, working with hundreds of women, men and children - training them for triathlons. These days you can find her coaching at Los Banos and the Coral Casino or teaching her 1st grade class at Hollister School.

Every Wednesday at 7:45am, listen for the weekly KLITE Weather Kid, featuring local kids ages 5-14. Kids have the opportunity to come into the station for a tour, talk on the air about some of their favorite hobbies and deliver a real KLITE weather forecast! The Restaurant Guy

Thursdays at 8:15am. For lovers of Santa Barbara’s ever-evolving culinary scene, The Restaurant Guy (John Dickson) joins Catherine on the K-LITE Morning Show every Thursday at 8:15. Dickson has been writing as the “Restaurant Guy” for the Independent for years. A software engineer, Dickson started writing about openings, closings, and assorted in-betweens on SantaBarbara.com, a website he created in 1994. His blog is updated daily.
