After Taylor Swift played a record-setting 16th sold-out concert at Los Angeles' Staples Center in 2015, the venue unveiled a banner near the top of the arena to commemorate the milestone. Since then, the Los Angeles Kings have failed to win a playoff series. Coincidence? Kings fans think not, and this past weekend the NHL franchise started covering up Swift's "most sold-out performances" banner, which was presented to the pop star by former L.A. Lakers star Kobe Bryant. The Los Angeles Times reports that other L.A. sports teams cover the banner during home games as well, save for the Lakers.
