Small Household Gatherings Fueling Rise In Coronavirus Cases

This is something to pay attention to as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas approach. The CDC director says small household gatherings are at the forefront of rising coronavirus cases in the United States. Dr. Robert Redfield told governors on Tuesday, "...what we're seeing as the increasing threat right now is actually acquisition of infection through small household gatherings. Particularly with Thanksgiving coming up, we think it's really important to stress the vigilance of these continued mitigation steps in the household setting." The message is not to get too comfortable around family and friends that may be silent carriers of the virus. Keep up the best practices of social distancing, mask-wearing, and hand washing.
